Average height at 180cm, weight 69 kg, they debuted in 2008 september, and was distinctive among other bands because of their distinctive performances and well-trained bodies. They have a big competition and rivalled even Big Bang which are famous in Japan right now.

As they were on the rise in K-pop industry they had no intentions of entering Japan music industry but they were approached by around 10 Japanese agencies with an offer to sign contracts. Eventually they signed under Sony Music Japan.

After it was revealed that 2PM would be releasing a DVD much like SNSD did with their debut, it seems that the DVD has ranked at number one!

And yet note the boys still aren’t set to release it until..November

2PM’s Japanese debut DVD, Hottest, will contain the group’s music videos, unreleased history videos and photoshoots. Along with Japanese fans, 2PM fans all over Asia are anticipating this DVD release.

Preorders for the group’s DVD has jumped to number one just two days after it was provided on Tower Records, HMV, and other large music selling sites.

JYP Entertainment stated, “We, along with Sony Music Entertainment, are very happy about all the positive attention 2PM is receiving from Japanese fans. We want to thank all the fans that love 2PM.”

They added, “JYPE and Sony Music will begin with the DVD release to lead the group into their activities in Japan. We are planning on various activities, so we will work hard to continue to deliver good news.”

2PM is also aiming for a comeback in October.
