Far East Movement & WongFu bring out the best at the International Secret Agents Concert
September 7th, 2010 11:50 am PT.

It was a warm afternoon in Cerritos, California as hundreds of fans waited in line to attend the third annual International Secret Agents (ISA) Concert highlighting popular Asian American artists. After its two year stint at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, it was time for the concert to move to a bigger venue with bigger sounds. This was the best move for the music act Far East Movement and WongFu Productions, producers of the ISA Concert series.

After realizing the need to create an outlet to showcase up and coming Asian American artists otherwise ignored by mainstream media, the leaders of Far East Movement and WongFu Productions decided three years ago to take it to their own hands and make that happen. Fast forward to 2010, ISA now boasts their sold out shows in NY and Los Angeles.

Coming back from their New York leg of ISA, FM and WongFu were greeted to a sellout crowd of over 1800 screaming fans hoping to get a glimpse of their favorite performers walking the press line. Hosting the night was KevJumba, Ryan Higa and Lydia Paek. KevJumba and Ryan Higa are known for their hilarious clips on youtube while Lydia is known for her singing and dance moves.

First to step out for her first major Los Angeles appearance was Alyssa Bernal who posed for the media and fielded questions from the press. One familiar question that the young singer has been asked time and time again was "Do you get mistaken for Vanessa Hudgens?" She responded politely, "Yes, I do." Even during the concert, a concert goer yelled out, "I love you Vanessa Hudgens!" Bernal jokingly quipped back, "Go Wildcats!"

Without a backing of a major record label, popular Youtube artist AJ Rafael was able to create a stir with the press and fans as the media jockeyed into place to nab Rafael for an interview. Rafael said, "I'm expecting a lot of noise in a good way and a lot of love." AJ definitely received a lot of love as fans shook the roof with their screaming when Rafael was introduced to the audience.

One of the bigger noise makers was Jay Park who is known for is b-boy moves and singing career, most recently when he was the lead singer of Korean Boyband 2PM. However, Park has now grown from the K-Pop Boy Band craze to his own solo act. Gathering from the excite of fans as he stepped out to the press wall outside the of venue, girls went ballistic when he posed for the cameras yelling out Jay Park's name. That popularity can be illustrated in the fact that an interview by Pacific Rim Video from his appearance at the 4C Power Workshop, garnered 28,000 hits on Pacific Rim's youtube channel within a one day period. The ear piercing screams resonated throughout the Cerritos Center as Park was introduced on stage. It was an amazing site to see as fans rose from their seats with quite a few rushing the front of the stage to jockey for space as Jay opened up his performance with "Demon."

The yells and screams didn't stop there as Far East Movement introduction started off with DJ Virman roaring up the tracks as Peter Rocks tinkered with his keyboard and DJ Eman lead the trio with his drum pounding beats. FM closed the night with signature songs "Girls On The Dance Floor' and "Fly Like A G6." FM also has come so far from the first ISA concert to now as they were named by Entertainment Weekly ones to watch this coming fall as artists to watch that radio programmers believe will fill the airwaves. FM also announced on the press line during an interview with Pacific Rim Video that they are working with Keri Hilson on a track. Catch Far East Movement in concert with Mike Posner.

Other notable highlights included comedic video clips presented by Wong Fu Productions, special guest appearances by Nick Cannon, Clara C, Andrew Garcia and Dumbfoundead. Plus the b-boy and robotics moves of ABDC Season 3 winner Quest Crew and ABDC Season 5 winner Poreotix.
